The waters of Aysén hold wild brown and rainbow trout in some of the most pristine, uncrowded fishing in Patagonia. In a single trip you'll fish three distinct types of water — each with its own style, rhythm and reward.

The trout we target average 16 to 22 inches, with real chances at fish over 25 inches. A good part of the day is fished from the boat, where you cover the best water — but on smaller waters and certain spots, wading is simply the better way to fish them. Your guide reads the day and picks.
The 2026–2027 season runs 12 October to 7 May, and it shifts as the dates move, opening different scenarios for different ways of fishing. We take you to the best water for your dates, so the week stays varied and every day you get to know new water.
Lakes and rivers running high. Trout come out of the spawn hungry and not especially selective, with almost no fishing pressure on them yet — so these are the dates where we can aim for the most fish in a day. An ideal time to work small streamers to trout feeding along the banks.
The steadiest weather of the year and light that holds late into the evening. The fish comes up and you see the whole thing — the decision, the take, the turn. The most visual fishing we do.
The big browns start getting ready to spawn, turning more aggressive and territorial. This is streamer fishing on a big scale — the time to go after the trout of your life.

Fly into Balmaceda (BBA), the airport serving the Aysén region, usually via Santiago (SCL). We pick you up on arrival day and take you back on departure day. Airport transfers and all ground transport during the trip are included — your flights are not.
Aysén weather is famously changeable — bright sun, wind and passing rain can all turn up in one day, so layers are your friend. We fish rain or shine: the guide adapts the plan, and we base ourselves strategically so there is always fishable water.
We fish catch and release, only. These are wild, self-sustaining trout populations in uncrowded water, and keeping them that way is the whole point.
Four anglers, one guide per two, and one group at a time. Your Chilean fishing license is included and we arrange it — one less thing to sort out before you travel.
